As far as I could perceive, the first English test of 2009 2010 deals mainly with environmentalism in its topic area and with verb tenses, connectors and comparatives in the part concerning the language. As for the topic, should the students be aware of the lexis given in class, as well as all the communicative situations/interactions explored in the lessons both by students and teachers. I hope the following “interview” may help you with the building up of your composition:
“A couple of English tourists in the Algarve were being asked about their opinion concerning the beautiful sun and the glamorous (but somewhat unexpected) temperatures we have been experiencing so far.
-Never in the world could I think of that some 40 years ago! When I was at school, I was told that temperatures above 35 degrees centigrade would certainly make us boil inside! This is the temperature I am undergoing now ( I mean, enjoying) and I haven’t boiled my bowels…
- Ok, – his wife argued – but I feel like breathing under a ceiling. Even the open-air isn’t open enough for me. I’d rather live under lower temperatures.
- Tank yu beri mach!- said the reporter, who wasn’t very good at English, but had enough guts to interview a British couple, sparing their time in the Algarve…
