The elusive dream of African migrants consists of the paradisiacal idea they have of Europe. Europe is, for them, a place of all opportunities. They dream of belonging to its consumer society. It is elusive, as Europe no longer corresponds to their stereotype. 3.2. The African emigrants have an optimitic and affirmative idea of the European continent. There they will have access to all the benefits  only developed countries can offer. 3.3.
